SADC Export Trade

Sell across Southern Africa — duty-free.

The SADC Free Trade Area opens 15 neighbouring markets to South African exporters at preferential duty. The catch is proving your goods qualify. This hub takes you from "can I?" to a completed Certificate of Origin.

Can I export from South Africa to SADC countries without paying duty?

Yes, if your goods qualify under the SADC Rules of Origin and you provide a SADC Certificate of Origin. Under the SADC Free Trade Area most originating goods enter member states at preferential — often zero — customs duty. You must first register as an exporter with SARS Customs.
